Game Changers: Video Games as Innovation

"Game Changers: Video Games as Innovation" was a month-long exhibit featured at Nouspace Gallery from March 6-28, 2015, of influential video games that have changed cultural views and behaviors as well as impacted business, education, health, and communication. I was the assistant curator of the exhibit and tasked with creating the logo, marketing materials, and website, as well as, project managing the exhibition which included managing a curation team of 8 students and 2 alumni.

Convo 2015: Do. Love. Walk.

CONVO is the biggest and most exciting youth event in the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. I was in charge of creating the marketing materials for the event including posters, postcards, and social media images.

The Wunderkammer of Dr. Moreau

“The Wunderkammer of Dr. Moreau”, is an exhibition of curiosities and digital creations prepared by students in the CMDC’s Radio Performance, Writing for Audio, and Maker Culture classes. Wunderkammers, collections of unusual or unique natural and created curiosities, began in Renaissance Europe as a way to categorize collections of objects, and gained popularity in Victorian England with many cabinets being prominent features in personal homes. These Wunderkammers were precursors to what we now know as museums. I designed the look and feel of the website.

Gemut Gallery

Gemut Gallery was a fictional gallery created for a project for DTC 336: Design and Composition, a class I took the in the fall semester of 2014. We were tasked with creating designs for an app icon, app splash page, app landing page, website, and facebook ad.

Re-Imagined Radio

Re-imagined Radio is a project focused on combining multimedia and curation by the re-creation of legendary radio dramas in front of live audiences. The result? Interactive installations and live social performance works. Re-imagined Radio is a partnership between Kiggins Theatre, the Willamette Radio Workshop, and the Creative Media & Digital Culture Program at Washington State University Vancouver, and Nouspace Gallery & Media Lounge. I was asked to create a logo for the project in fall semester 2014.

Profiles in Courage

Profiles in Courage was a sermon series at First United Methodist Church, Vancouver, Washington. The series was presented during the months of October and November 2014.
I was asked to create a website cover image and bulletin image.

Blackbird

In DTC 355: Multimedia Authoring, I was tasked with turning
"13 Ways of Looking at a Blackbird", a poem by Wallace Stevens, into a website. I was inspired by the Victorian Era natural drawings of plants and animals.

Classy Cocktails for the Housewife

In DTC 355: Multimedia Authoring, I was tasked with creating a fully responsive website for a classic recipe. I chose to model my recipe on the classic "Better Homes and Garden" feel.

Innovate Arts

"Innovate Arts" is a series of interactive books that help older elementary aged students engage with and learn about art concepts and principles through the use of enhanced media for mobile and tablet devices. I created all of the design materials for the research poster, flyer, and the interactive book. I also utilized Aurasma to create augmented reality overlays.

Diminished

Diminished is an interactive art installation that combines video, 2D animations, gestural design, and digital poetry to convey the power of water and it's value as a diminishing resource created for DTC 336: Design and Composition in fall semester 2014. I worked as the Project Manager, Concept Creator, Author, Designer, and Voice-over artist.

Mission Possible

Mission Possible was a month-long initiative in January 2014, that strove to engage the First United Methodist Church of Vancouver, WA, community in missions and community service within the city of Vancouver, the nation, and the world. I was tasked with creating a logo to be used in all digital and print materials.
